General information

As of how many charging points does it make sense to implement a charging solution?

A charging solution is a viable proposition even if it offers just one charging point – after all, it’s the long-term demand that’s important for the configuration, not the current demand. Only flexible charging infrastructure allows you to respond to the challenges of tomorrow.

What’s the difference between charging infrastructure, charging stations and charging points?

The connection infrastructure describes not only all the cable routings for accommodating electrical and data cables inside buildings and in the vicinity of buildings with parking spaces but also the metering points for users and the protection elements.
A charging station (e.g. wallbox) is a fixed electrical device equipped with at least one charging socket to which the electric car driver can connect the charging cable. A charging station can offer multiple charging points.
Charging points are designed for charging electric cars.

Charging management

How long it does take until a car is fully charged?

The charging duration depends on the car, the battery status and the power at the wallbox. 11 kW, for example, is enough to charge most electric vehicles easily during the day or overnight.

How is the charging process started?

Simply connect the cable to the car and wallbox, hold the charging card up to the designated point on the wallbox, and charging will begin.

With what charging capacity can I charge my electric car?

Depending on the capacity of the charging infrastructure installed in the building, the charging capacity is generally between 4 kW and 11 kW.

What charging cable do I need in order to charge my car?

To charge your car, all you need is a standard electric car charging cable with a type-2 connector.
